题目材料:
The capture hypothesis holds that the Moon formed separately from Earth and was later captured into orbit around Earth. If the Moon formed far from Earth before capture, that would explain why Earth and the Moon have different compositions. Capture is not unprecedented in the solar system, as satellites of giant planets orbiting in the opposite direction to their planet's rotation demonstrate, but capturing a satellite is not easy. If the Moon once had enough kinetic energy to wander close to Earth, it would also have had enough to escape again. Tidal interactions, collisions with material orbiting Earth, or passage through Earth's atmosphere could remove some energy, but not nearly fast enough to allow the Moon to be captured in a single passage by Earth.
