主语为集合名词

集体名词是一种名词看似（通常不以-S结束），但指一组人或物体。一些例子包括：

l  People: agency, army, audience, class, committee, crowd, orchestra, team

l  Items: baggage, citrus, equipment, fleet, fruit, furniture

在一些特殊的情况下，集合名词也可以单复数考虑（例如，当强调的个体而不是整体时）。

注意：GMAT考试，几乎集合名词都是单数！

l  The CROWD in the stands IS cheering loudly as the home TEAM TAKES the field.

l  Our ARMY of a hundred thousand soldiers IS attacking the enemy

所以即使集合名词代表团体我们也通常视其为单数。
